The ‘Your Pots – Your Say’ community voting day was held at the Storey in Lancaster on 16th November, eleven local charities and community organisations were there bidding for a Your Pots grant of £5,000 to £10,000. The grants are intended to help them carry out projects that will positively impact the environment and people of North Lancashire.

The audience watched a collection of short films that each organisation had made to explain what they wanted to do and how their project would help local communities and the environment, before going round each organisations stall to ask further questions before voting opened.

Each voter could cast up to four votes, with each being for a different organisation, and 7 organisations were successful.

The Bay came 3rd in the voting, and have been granted £8,850 for Foraging, Outdoor Cooking & Nature Connection.
