This victorian seaside town is bustling with migrating birds and big plans for the future.
The nature that can be found in Morecambe and Heysham is astounding, with many seabirds stopping here during their migrations and summer being a time for huge amounts of pollinators. It’s also a fantastic spot for murmurations in autumn.
With the great fells of the Lake District visible across the bay on a clear day, it's no wonder that the town motto is 'Beauty surrounds, health abounds', a hark back to it's beach resort days when workers from across the North West would come here for a holiday.
