Alan Turing is famous as a mathematician who worked on solving codes during World War 2. Turing’s codebreaking helped to shorten the war, saving numerous lives, however, what is less well known is that he also made discoveries on patterns in nature by finding the maths behind how patterns such as spots and stripes are formed!
These patterns are known as ‘Turing’s Patterns’. They can be found on animals such as zebras and leopards.
Your mission, should you choose to accept, it is to crack the code below. This will tell you a type of animal which uses Turing’s Patterns. Find a picture of this animal to discover the next QR code.
