About the event

After meeting by the tower we will walk onto the beach and out to the Honeycomb worm reef which is exposed at low tide. While we are out we will learn more about the worm that creates it and survey the reefs health and size. We will be joined on this by a local expert and member of the Royal Society of Biology.

This event is open to all. Children over 12 are welcome accompanied by an adult.

What to bring

Please come dressed for the weather. We suggest wellies or shoes you don't mind getting wet as there maybe some areas of shallow water. Don't forget your hat and sun cream - it can be quite exposed on the beach. The reef is low down, you may wish to bring something to kneel on while looking at the reef.

There is a toilet at Rossall Point Tower, however this is some distance from where we will be based for this activity.

Please bring a drink and a snack with you, there are no refreshment facilities at this location.
